According to the protocol, Turkish citizens will be able to go to Azerbaijan without a passport with their new identity and stay up to 90 days. It was announced that the application, which became law on April 1, will start on June 1, 2021 due to the pandemic.
Turkish citizens must enter the country by air in order to enter Azerbaijan without a passport. THY, Azal Airlines and Pegasus have flights from Turkey. Turkish citizens are required to have a passport if they are going to enter Azerbaijan by road.
