Where to Stay in Milan

It was approaching midnight when we landed in Milan at night.

We had landed at Bergamo airport, not Milan's central airport Malpensa. About 45 minutes from Milan. There are shuttles that go to Milan all the time for 8 €. If you buy a round-trip ticket, you can get it even cheaper. We jumped in, the shuttle dropped us right next to the Milan central train station. Our hotel is within walking distance, we are at the hotel after 500 meters. our hotel Hotel Sempione MilanAlthough the employees are not sympathetic, the hotel is sympathetic, comfortable, clean, central. What more do I want?

Montanelli Park

We hit the roads in the morning… There is a huge park very close to our hotel, Montanelli Park. Those who have breakfast on Sunday morning, those who run, those who walk their dogs, whatever you are looking for. The weather is very nice, after enjoying the park, we head towards Milan castle through the side streets. We come across an antiques market, lots of interesting materials and lots of buyers. We continue on our way, enjoying the crowd.

Castello Sforzesco

When we come to the castle, we feel ourselves in the middle ages, even if they fill it with water, we will feel ourselves in the movie frame. We try to capture the best angle pictures of Castello Sforzesco. We are spread out on a little grass, behind the castle there is a huge garden, Parco Sempione. There are also those who enjoy the market here. What is more interesting is there are a lot of brides and grooms, explains the bridal carriages in front of the castle. I don't know why, they're all newlyweds with slanted eyes.

Milan Duamo

We have our touristic map in our hands - this is the first thing we provide in every city we go to and we do not drop it during our trip - we proceed according to what is on the map. One church, one more church… I've seen so many churches that I can't follow their names anymore 🙂 The city is slowly getting lively at this time. We arrive at the largest gothic cathedral in Europe. Its exterior is truly magnificent, we are disappointed when we go inside.

The city's largest church or cathedral is called the duomo. The square in front of the Duomo is the parent's day. We leave the square to itself to calm down a little more. We are looking for somewhere to eat around the square but we can't see it.

Milan Grand Bazaar

Luckily, we find something to eat at the entrance of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, which is the first example of today's shopping malls right next to the square.

There is a lively pedestrian street from the Duomo to the castle, where we spend the rest of our time. The next day, the journey will continue, we return to our hotel without getting too tired. The next stop is Venice… In the morning, we go to Milan train station to take the train. The train is delayed, it is our first time in Europe, but we do not know yet that we will encounter it often during our tour of Italy.
