I like to go to nearby countries on the weekend when I find time and suitable flight tickets. Israel is 1,5-2 hours away by plane and Jerusalem was one of the places I was very curious about. Again, I caught a flight ticket campaign and went to Israel for two days. Cost of a 2 day trip to Israel is the subject of this article.

There is not much left from our neighbors and close countries that I did not go to. However, nearby countries are my lifeline. It allows me to commute on the weekend or for 3-4 days and store energy.

Of course, when the name of the country is Israel, one does not feel a little uneasy. When I bought my ticket months ago, it wasn't that complicated. We set out because 7 people were leaving, and we ended up with 3 people. Fortunately, we went with determination, regardless of the tensions. I had a very nice weekend. I tried to fit everything I could in 2 days.

Israel Trip Cost

All-inclusive cost of my trip to Israel, where I went on Friday evening and returned Monday morning 340 Usd got it.

Let's look at the details of 340USD?;

  • I paid 14 TL for the plane ticket I bought from Pegasus on March 243, round trip.
  • The price per person per night of the hotel we stayed in Jerusalem was 31,5USD, I gave 2USd for 63 nights.
  • The hostel we stayed in Tel-aviv cost 19USD per person and was much nicer than our hotel in Jerusalem. Long live hostels!
  • We spent a little more money on transportation because the shuttle we use to go from the airport to Jerusalem at night and the taxi we use for the return flight at 03:00 in the morning naturally increased my costs.
  • We did not cut down without eating or drinking, both Saturday and Sunday dinners cost around 25-30 USD per person.
  • I only bought a magnet for myself, other than that, I didn't buy any gifts as usual 🙂

If you exclude the plane and hotel, the cost of eating and drinking was 145 Usd per person.

Israel is not a cheap travel destination. After South America, everywhere seems very expensive to me 🙂 If a flight is arranged on a Saturday morning and returning on Sunday evening, this trip can be much cheaper. Costs can be reduced quite a bit by using public transportation instead of both the hotel cost for 2 nights and taking a taxi-shuttle to the airport.

If you ask if it is worth going for 2 days, it is definitely worth it, I spent almost all of 2 days in Jerusalem and I can say that it was not enough 🙂

  1. We want to go on Friday and come on Sunday. I had heard that these are religious days and that everything is closed. Do you have any ideas or advice about this? Thank you

    • Hello,

      Similarly, we got off on Saturday morning and returned on Sunday evening (if I remember correctly:)) The rest day that the Jews call “Sabbath” is Saturday. They don't work until Saturday evening, so many places are closed. The surroundings are a little quiet, but it did not prevent us from walking.

  2. Hello, I am also planning a trip to Israel very soon. A visa company wrote that the consulate does not accept reservations made through booking.com, do you have any information? Also, is hostel reservation an obstacle to getting a visa?

  3. Well, if we are working without insurance, how will we show the bank account document? Will it be enough for us to show the round-trip flight ticket for the visa? I mean, can we get the visa without a hotel reservation?

    First of all, Ms. Sevil, thank you for the information you have provided, I have a question that I will visit Israel soon.

  5. Hello. I think so, but I wanted to ask anyway. And is it necessary to make an appointment for the consulate? Thank you so much in advance

    • Hello,

      I suggest that you take the information on the consulate website into account.
      You need to make an appointment.

  6. Hello, the cost you mentioned belonged to last year, but now that I read it, I did a short fyst research and the flight ticket came out at almost close values, for example, for 1 month later, I liked your article very briefly, it is encouraging. I thought it was waiting for a much more complex process, I was inspired by you, I hope I can realize it soon. Thank you.

  7. Hello there;

    How did you provide transportation from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem? Is there transportation every hour?
    Have you encountered any problems at the airport while entering and exiting?
    I am planning to go to tel-aviv in may.
    I would be glad if you help.

    • Hello,
      There are buses that go directly from the airport to Jerusalem without stopping by Tel-Aviv on the way, I went with them.
      On the way back, there are frequent buses between Jerusalem-Tel-Aviv. I passed with them.

      I had no problems getting into the airport.
      At the exit, you must be at the area 3 hours in advance. There are many calls, and there are many queues due to calls.

      However, I did not encounter any negative situations.

      Happy travels to you.

  8. Hello, your notes are very short and clear. Exactly the travel writing I want. I am planning a few days trip to Israel these weeks. Thank you

  9. Is the visa free? We are not used to it at all yaw :)) Costs are also very affordable. Then you need to visit one as soon as possible.
