More precisely, I like the sea of Saroz, its coves are also a giveaway. 🙂 In this article for you Gulf of Saros the place i want to tell from the bays Gokcetepe. Of course, it would be unfair to say only camping, sea, entertainment, there are many things you are looking for in the nature park.

Gökçetepe Nature Park and Campground
Gökçetepe Nature Park and Campground

From Saros Bay Bays Danişment Forest CampI have written before, you can reach it from the link. Apart from that, I had the opportunity to see other places such as Erikli, Kömür Port, İbrice and Enez. In one of the old times, I stayed in a place with a beautiful sea and a camping place in the forest, but I could neither remember the name nor the location... I looked for it last year but could not find it. This year, I came across it on the website of the Forestry Administration: the place I was looking for was Gökçetepe Nature Park!

Where is Gökçetepe Nature Park and How to Go?

Where is Gökçetepe Nature Park and How to Go?

If you are going from Istanbul to Gökçetepe; After Keşan, we continue from the entrance of Bahçeköy, not Erikli, not Enez. After Bahçeköy, from the town of Çamlıca “go to the seaThe r” sign is followed. It didn't exist before, but now they put up "Gökçetepe Nature Park" signs everywhere. So it is easily available. First, you will see Gökçetepe Village. 5-6 km from it. and then Gokcetepe Recreation Area entrance sign…

Civilization, that is, water and toilet, has reached the farthest point of the campsite, there was none in the first years I went, and it was much calmer and more untouched. There is a market and restaurant at the entrance, and a cafeteria at the end of the park area called Çakıl Bay.

When you reach Çakıl Bay, a sea full of sparkling fish awaits you. If you like it, bring your equipment such as snorkels and fins with you. You can chase a lot of fish 🙂 It would be good to bring sea shoes to be comfortable in the sea.

The sea is stony, pebble, so it may not appeal to beach lovers, if your preference is a beach, Uzunkum may be a better alternative for you.

  1. Hello there;
While we are thinking about where we can have our 4-day holiday close to Istanbul and at the most affordable prices,

We decided to camp. Although we were very worried at first, ESENTEPE CAMP in the Gulf of Saros

We decided to stay in AREA. On the way from Keşan to Enez, after 40 km, you reach Karaincirli Village.

you are deviating. After all, the signs of the camp take you there. After the village, the roads are stabilized,

You can go a little slow. We were very well received at the campsite. Mr. Cetin and his wife Ms. Oznur really

they were very interested. We went with our own tent, but we can also rent tents for those who don't have the equipment.

was available. There are a lot of wooded areas, so you can make a very enjoyable camp in the shade. the sea alone

literally perfect. You will have to walk around 200 meters. We never had a problem. Market inside the camp and

cafe is available. Prices are quite reasonable. We even ate our meals from the cafeteria. An evening barbecue

we did. Other days we thought it wasn't even worth the trouble. Phones are picking up. Toilets and showers are fine

clean. They do what is necessary at the slightest warning anyway.
Plenty of oxygen, clean air and the sea (by the way, the sea is sandy), quiet, listening, resting, bird

If you want to have a good time with your friends or relatives among the chirping

It will be a very good choice for relatives.
We will go again at the first opportunity. They said, "We can make more suitable figures for a 1-week stay."
    A complete family camp.

  2. Is it paid to set up a tent outside the campsite? For example, a small hill near the beach or a place close to the beach?

    • You pay for the vehicle, person and tent at the entrance to the promenade. If you say you will set up a tent, they take their money regardless of where the place is.

  3. HOUSE FOR RENT IN SAROZ GÖKÇETEPE ON THE WEEKEND AND I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SO VIRGIN AND CLEAN NATURE TOGETHER.

THERE IS A LOT TO SAY ABOUT THE SEA, BUT IF WE WANT TO EXPRESS IT IN A SINGLE WORD, IT IS VERY POSSIBLE TO UNDERSTAND AND LIVE IN THIS PLACE THAT BLUE IS BLUE, CLEAN, CLEAN, BAY ARE BAY.

I WOULD LIKE TO VIEW THIS PLACE AND EXPERIENCE, BELIEVE YOU WILL LOOK VERY MUCH.

EVENING BIRDS SHIT, THE SEA IS LIKE A BED WITHOUT WAVES,
BELIEVE IN THE WORLD WITH ONE GLASS OF WINE WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT ANYTHING.

    MY LOVELY,

  4. We were in Gökçetepe last holiday (August 7-10, 2013). Transportation is very convenient and simple. Especially the part after Keşan can be passed very quickly. Unfortunately, Gökçetepe Campground is not yet ready for the holiday or holiday intensity. I have not seen a fully organized business. There are important deficiencies that can cause serious trouble for those who go unprepared. For example;

1- Toilet and Washbasin are not enough to meet the need in busy times. There were moments when the queue for the toilet was up to 10 people. If you throw the tent close, you may be overwhelmed by the density, and if you throw it away, it may be a problem.
2- There were water cuts in toilets and sinks from time to time, this is a very serious problem.
3- Campers are taken to the campsite at night and the men come by car in the middle of the night and try to set up tents in the dark. Of course your sleep and nerves are paralyzed. We encountered people trying to set up tents at 2 am.
4- The sea is very clean, clear and beautiful until 12 noon. But after 12 (I think it is caused by seabed rocks) a strange yellowness and turbidity occurs on the shore.
5- Electricity, extension cable, light etc. service is very poor. Those who go here must bring at least 5 meters of extension cable, a socket cable and a light bulb. Otherwise, you may be left in the dark.
6- There is no such thing as a shared or rented refrigerator. Do not bring perishable items. (it can be said to be on the phone, be cautious)
7- At the entrance of the area, there are greengrocers, markets, cafes and so on. Able to meet essential needs. Good in that respect.
8- Fire and barbecue can be lit at any point you want. Although it is dangerous, it is of course a great comfort. Attention to novice campers who are very successful in causing forest fire by not being able to cope with fire 🙂
9- 1 tent per day (if you own the tent, up to 4 people) 25 TL. The price is reasonable.
10- 1 TL is charged for one time for the vehicle. My advice is that you DO NOT PAY in bulk for how many days you will stay. It makes more sense to extend your stay every day for the next day. No refunds.
11- The weather is fine, not too hot.
12- The tents to be set up in the forest area are ideal for having a pleasant time.
13- There is a cafe on the beach. Night entertainment is organized, nice and enjoyable.

Will I go again? No, I will not go until the infrastructure deficiencies are completed.

  5. Thank you very much for your valuable sharing. I had a nice and enjoyable weekend at this camp in 2000. I forgot its location because I didn't know the exact name and didn't feel the need to research for a long time. Thanks to you, I learned that.
It is a camping area that I recommend to all my friends, both family and business. It is a great place to breathe the clean pine air and at the same time to live and watch the magnificent beauty of saroz away from the crowd 🙂
The thing I am wondering is...
I am an amateur fisherman and in recent years I have been interested in sea bream and coral fishing 🙂
Can I hunt in this area? If yes, which seasons are suitable for hunting?
I thank you in advance 🙂

    • Hello Mr. Bulent,

Thank you for your nice comments.
I don't know anything about fishing, so any information I give may mislead you.
My suggestion would be to call the Forestry Department there and get the exact information.

  6. Hello, we will go to Gökçetepe for the holiday. I have a question for those who have been there recently. Are there tea gardens, cafes or any place to eat (pancakes etc.) shower and WC around the beach?

    • Hello Gorkem,
There was only one grocery store in the village above when we went last year. There was no other facility, so I suggest you go with supply.

  7. Hello, there is now water and electricity in the gokcetepe promenade camp. There are also showers in the cove. The WCs are also clean. The works continue. I recommend it to those who will go.

  8. We went here last week, it has a magnificent nature and the sea is clean.

My advice for those who plan to go is to take plenty of water and sunshades with them because there is neither electricity, water nor WC in the bay, the only thing to do with technology is that the mobile phone is receiving 🙂

  9. Thanks for the information mrb, but can you give more clear information about the place to stay, do the tents belong there or do we need to buy these 16 ones *

  10. I went here 20 years ago, at that time there was nothing but a house and country coffee. I would like to visit again as soon as possible. but I don't want to be disappointed like Kıyıköy and castro. Both of them have no trace of what they were 1 years ago.

    • Hello Mr. Engin,

Don't wait for the way it was 20 years ago. Like everywhere else, these places are also subject to change. It is one of the beautiful bays to visit around Saros.

  11. Thank you very much for your interest in Saros Bay, I will share this article on my blog with your permission. Those who want to get more information can also benefit from my blog. Let me give you some information. There are beautiful seaside resorts, especially Erikli, Enez, Yayla and Güney. Since the hotel sector is limited, accommodation is provided with mostly daily rental houses.

We are waiting for those who are looking for a peaceful holiday with its sea, beach and clean air.

    • Hello Onder,

You can use the article by reference.
As a Saros Gulf lover, I will follow you as well.

      Elmayra
