How to Get Ethiopia Tourist Visa?
In order to get a tourist visa from Ethiopia, it is necessary to apply to the Ethiopian Embassy in Ankara. Here your path splits into three:
- You can work with any visa service provider.
- You can go to Ankara and apply yourself.
- You can ask for help from a friend who went to Ankara.
It is not necessary to apply in person. Anyone can give and receive documents. One of my dear friends, who I love very much, always goes to Ankara for work, so I asked him for help.
Required Documents for Ethiopian Tourist Visa
Do not think that it is written on the website of the consulate anyway, because I sent the documents written on the site, we had to struggle a bit because they said they were missing. It is best to call the consulate by phone. The documents required for tourist visa in February 2017 are as follows:
- 1 passport size photograph (4.5x6cm front, white background and original)
- Passport (at least 6 months old)

Visa applications are accepted every day until 11:00. You can get your visa until 2:11 after 00 (two) days from the day your passport is issued.

I wonder how many days the passport was left in the consulate and how many days did they issue a valid visa? One of the agency gave us a lot of trouble with the commercial visa, so I was curious. Not necessarily from the travel date, max. It will be applied 30 days before, the visa period is 15 days, they asked for a special invitation for the visa, approved by the consulate from Ethiopia. On the internet it said it will be taken in 3 days. Didn't even get an invitation in a month.

Normally you give one day until 11:00, you get it the next day. Mine took 2-3 days as the Ethiopian President was in Turkey.
They give a single entry for 30 days as a tourist attraction.
