The Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park bears the traces of the Dardanelles War, one of the most important parts of our history, such as many martyrdoms, museums, bastions, castles and monuments. For the promotion of this region, between Kabatepe Harbor and Eceabat, in the region where martyrdoms are most concentrated, was established in 2012. Çanakkale Epic Promotion Center opened.

Çanakkale Epic Promotion Center

Çanakkale Epic Promotion Center has been designed so that we can experience the Çanakkale Wars live in 11 halls, three-dimensional and animated halls. The only disadvantage of technological halls is that they can only be shown to groups of 50 people at a time. For this reason, if there is a screening inside, you have to wait for the next group.

Çanakkale Martyrdoms Before starting the tour, I recommend you to watch this show, which lasts about 1 hour in the promotion center. Thus, you will start your trip with fresh information by remembering what happened in the Historical National Park during the Çanakkale Wars.

Canakkale Epic Promotion Center Halls

I said that the Promotion Museum consists of 11 halls, I would like to briefly describe the halls. 3D glasses are provided at the entrance, so you can feel the live performances. It is forbidden to take photos in the halls, so I did not use the photos of the halls I described below.

Introduction to War – This is the hall where the reasons for the entry of the Ottoman Empire into the 1st World War, the beginning of the war and the first wars are explained.

Nursat (Nusret) – How the mines were laid in the Dardanelles on the night of March 7/8 and the Nusret Mine Ship, which changed the course of history, are told in this hall.

Battle Plans of the Allies – In this hall, we, the spectators, watch the redoubt from the deck of a ship and the first attack on February 19, 1915.

Rumeli Mecidiye Bastion – Seyid Onbaşı's driving the cannonball alone is described in this hall.

Preparation for Land Battles – In this hall, we see the settlement of the Allied Powers and Turkish defense lines around the Dardanelles on the 3D relief map.

Turning point – We follow Mustafa Kemal's order "I order you not to attack, but to die" against the Anzac landing and his defense against the Anzacs with hologram technology.

Trench Battles – This hall is designed as a trench, we listen to Mustafa Kemal's conversations with the soldiers in the zigzag trenches, and the entrance to the hall is with the folk song Aynalı Çarşı.

Gallipoli from the Dome of the Sky – This hall is designed in the shape of a dome and we see the Gallipoli Peninsula from the sky dome. But the sad thing is that hospitals are the target of allied planes and artillery fired from ships. You will see many hospital martyrs while visiting the cemeteries, unfortunately 🙁

Canakkale is impassable – We are now witnessing the retreat of the allied states in this hall.

memories – In this hall, we see the emotional dimension of the war with war memories, soldier and family letters.

From 1915 to Present – We have been following the developments in Turkey since 1915 in this hall.

After you leave the museum, you are ready to see the Martyrdoms.
