I took the high-speed train for the first time maybe 10 years ago in Italy. When we accelerated to 300 km/h, I was excited as if I was going into space. Even though the train is fast, we now have a train that takes 4 hours between Istanbul and Ankara, even though it is not "fast" enough because the rail system is not suitable for that speed.

Istanbul – Ankara High Speed Train Stops
With the opening of Marmaray on 19.05.2019, the number of High Speed Train stops has increased. The high-speed train running between Istanbul and Ankara has 14 stops, it does not stop outside of these.

The only thing I missed when I got on the high-speed train was the food wagons on the old trains. These wagons, where you can eat, drink and enjoy the train together when it is crowded, are not available on the new trains. Apart from that, it is a great convenience to travel between Istanbul and Eskişehir in 2,5 hours and between Istanbul and Ankara in 4 hours. The train is one of the best means of transportation, I hope it becomes more widespread in our country.
