General Information About the Greyhound Canyon
Tazi Canyon is located in the north of the canyon, within the Köprülü Canyon National Park, one of the most popular national parks in Antalya. Located at the point where the deep valley opened by Köprü Stream starts, the place that makes the canyon popular is the viewing point that gives the opportunity to view the valley from above. This canyon opened by Köprü Stream is called Hound Canyon or Wisdom Valley. It goes without saying that the valley, whose side walls vary between 200 meters and 400 meters deep, is dangerous. If you fall from steep slopes, you will crash into rocks from an average of 300 meters and fall into a fierce flowing stream. So try not to get too close to the edges.
With the popularity of Greyhound Canyon on social media, many people, from wedding photographers to travelers, from nature lovers to campers, began to flock here. Although it was difficult to reach and lack of signage when it first started to be heard in 2017, today all asphalt and signage are done properly except for the last 1 kilometer of the road. There is an area where you can buy tea and pancakes where you left your vehicle, and there are places where you can rent an ATV at the end of the asphalt road. You can go by ATV instead of driving the last one kilometer dirt road. In addition, a zipline will be built in the near future, and there are already many zipline points along Köprüçay.
The best time to go to the Hound Canyon is early in the morning or even at sunrise if possible. When I went around 10:00 in the morning, there were only a few people. Around 11:00, it was full of tour groups, if you stay late, there is a risk that it will be much more crowded. You may have to wait in line for a long time to take pictures of the magnificent landscapes you see.

Is There Camping in Greyhound Canyon?
When you search the internet, it says that camping can be done at the point where the Hound Canyon viewing point is. However, when I went in March 2021, I came across the sign “It is dangerous and forbidden to approach the cliff, climb the rock blocks, make fire and pitch a tent in Hound Canyon”. So if you want to camp here, it is not legal, the gendarmerie may come and ask you to remove it. There are many camping areas along the way on the Köprüçay coast, which leads to the Hound Canyon, and you can choose one of these areas for camping.

Tazı Canyon is located within the Köprülü Canyon National Park, which is located within the provincial borders of Antalya. It is located at the intersection of Manavgat and Serik districts of Antalya and Sütçüler district of Isparta. The Hound Canyon, which you see all the time on social media, is a viewing point, that is, at a point overlooking the canyon. This point is located in the north of Köprülü Canyon National Park.
Canyon is located approximately 100 kilometers from Antalya city center. If you are coming with your own vehicle, it is better to fill your tank as there is no gas station nearby.

How to Get to Greyhound Canyon?
When Greyhound Canyon was first popular, signage was missing on the road and it could be difficult to find, but there is no signage problem anymore. You can easily find the viewing point. Brief directions to the Hound Canyon are given below:
- When you head towards Alanya from Antalya city center, you can follow the Aspendos or Köprülü Canyon signs.
- When you turn from the main road in the direction of Köprülü Canyon, continue on the road to the right of Köprüçay, not the road to the left. When you see the Beşkonak sign, continue towards Beşkonak. This road will take you from the left side of the stream.
- By following the stream, you will come to the Oluk Bridge crossing on the Köprülü Canyon. Continue towards the hill, not in the direction of the gutter.
- The Hound Canyon sign has now been added under the Gaziler Mahallesi sign. After this point, you can follow the signs for the Hound Canyon.
- You will turn left on the Gaziler Village road about 1 kilometer before reaching the Hounds Canyon viewing point. There is also a signboard here. Buses, vehicles, ATVs will already have created a crowd here, you will understand when you see them.
- If you want, there is a parking lot here, you can leave your car here and walk. By renting an ATV, you can go the last one kilometer dirt road. Or if your vehicle is high, you can continue with your own vehicle. I continued with my own vehicle to the last point that can be reached by car.
- At the end of the road, you will see parked cars and ATVs. This is the last point that can be reached by car. When you stop here, you will see the inscription Hound Canyon written on the stone below.
- At this point, there is a place where you can buy tea and pancakes, but it was not yet serving when I went, it may be closed due to the pandemic. It would be better if you come with your food and beverage supply, because there are no other facilities here.
- After the point where you leave the vehicle, you will reach the viewing point by walking an easy path of 300 meters.

Best Time to Go to Greyhound Canyon
I like to visit the Mediterranean Region in spring. The scorching heat, the breathless high humidity have not started yet, the nature awakens, and the mountain peaks become green. Spring is the best time for nature and history lovers. I also went to Hound Canyon on a spring day. Although it was the beginning of March, the air temperature in the center of Antalya was 21 degrees. However, as the sun rose, the air began to cool, although the sun continued to show itself. With its altitude of around 500 meters, I am sure that the Hound Canyon is cool and breezy even on hot days. In summary, spring is the best time of the year to go to the Hound Canyon.
If you come to Wisdom Valley, you should definitely visit Köprülü Canyon. You can do rafting or boat trips in the summer. When you go to Köprülü Canyon, you will see the “Selge Ancient City” sign.
