April 20, 2018 is an ordinary day in calendars, and perhaps a turning point in my life! The day I will put an end to my 19-year corporate life and start my life as a blogger and travel writer. Everyone who knew me and did not know me asked how I made this decision, so I wanted to write an article on this subject and answer all the questions in their minds, just like I did when I started blogging. If the answer to your question is not in this article, if you add it as a comment, I will reply when my tongue returns.

Becoming a Travel Blogger!

First of all, nothing happened out of the blue. I have been writing a travel blog for 10 years, my blog, which has a considerable reputation and readability, is already making a little money.

As for this part of the article, β€œIs it possible to earn money by writing a blog? Me too start a blog I want what should I do?" I guess you have questions like: Let me give a short answer; Yes! If you can determine a special area for yourself and produce regular and quality content, you can earn money by writing a blog. If you say how to solve the blog issue, WordPress School You can attend the trainings prepared by

Before I get too deep into my coin issues, let's take a look at how this story started.

Travel Virus

Shortly after I started traveling, I began to realize that the travel virus was getting in my blood a little more each day. I was trying to make a travel plan at every opportunity, and this desire increased as I traveled. I waited to see if it would end one day, but aside from ending, it was constantly increasing. As such, I began to search for ways to spend my life traveling.

Is traveling addictive? I also wrote an article.

Simple Life, Happy Life

First, I started to simplify my life, reduce my unnecessary expenses, and get rid of unnecessary burdens. A move I've been through has made me realize how many things I actually have in my life that I bought for maybe once in a while and spent meaningless money. After that turn, I started not buying anything new for myself unless I needed it. The simplification point of view has helped me reduce all my luxury expenses other than travel. This has allowed me to save much more money than I anticipated.

Investing in the Future

While traveling in an asynchronous time zone with what I explained above, my research on how to continue my life was continuing. A regular income would be very useful to me, a money that was deposited in my account while I was browsing. Actually, I bought a house for myself, although I was not very keen on it. Rental income of a house in Istanbul would be an important allowance for traveling, and it was. At the moment, my most regular income is my house rent.

Achieving Dreams Takes Effort

I never stopped writing my blog, yes, I couldn't write with the intensity and detail I wanted, but it was my lifeline. Apart from the blog, I continued to write articles for some online-offline magazines from time to time. I loved to write, and the more I wrote, the happier I was to see that I was motivating people to go on the road. I never stopped writing even when my work was at its busiest. One of the best benefits of blogging for me is that I met very nice people who write travel blogs and love to travel, and I made great friendships.

am i ready?

My dream has always been to one day leave corporate life and travel as I wish. But I did not know the answer to the question of when! When you're ready? Will I be ready? I was postponing my dreams with excuses that I constantly put forward, but on the one hand, life was not waiting for me, it kept flowing. On April 1, 2018, Facebook reminded me of a message that said I quit my job 4 years ago as an April 1 joke and moved to the Aegean!

leave your job
leave your job

It's been on my tongue for 5 years, but I just couldn't take action! At that moment, lightning flashed and I realized that there will never be a "right time", the right time is now. The right time was now and I was going to resign!

I received comments like "how brave you are" "I wish we could show this courage" from many of my friends who have spent years in corporate life like me. Whereas I don't consider myself brave, when I leave safe waters, not knowing what will happen to me I am so afraid. On the other hand, I don't see the courage in him because I've been making excuses for myself all this time and postponing this process, because I think it's a late move. Although it may not look like it from the outside, this is the situation inside!

I have no plans for what to do next. Of course, I have a lot of projects, ideas, dreams in my head. With my savings in my pocket, my rental income, a little advertising income from the blog, I focused on doing the things I enjoy the most, traveling and writing, I believe that there will be more and great things will happen. Keep following me πŸ˜‰

Is it possible to make money by writing a blog? My post will also be of interest to you.

"Does he who reads a lot or travels a lot?" I started by saying, I am still looking for an answer. I travel after my dreams and share my experiences on my blog, newspapers and magazines. I love to travel, read, write and dream.

  6. I've been following you for as long as possible. I saw many places in Europe during a year, and I started to feel the symptoms of the travel virus in you, too. Lately, my inner voice has been saying this all the time: "You will set off sooner or later, and you will adopt it as a way of life, either today or tomorrow. Because without doing this, you will not feel complete.” I wanted to share:))
    The roads are good!
    Yours,

  7. We made a similar decision 2 years ago. We said goodbye to 2 years of corporate life with 20 children and settled in the Aegean. Exactly, the fears and unknowns you mentioned summarize what we have been through. But I can't explain the excitement in that process, it has to be lived. Not to mention the relaxation????

Now I think the main thing that takes courage is not to live as you imagine. We enjoy every moment of life and what it brings. Dream, plan, dare, be hopeless and do… That's my motto ????

I tell the process from time to time in my blog. http://www.annegozuyle.wordpress.com

The best part was having endless time to eat 3 meals a day with the kids, set up book clubs and go camping ????

May your new life come with adventures and laughter ????????
