Transportation from Kayseri Airport to Erciyes Ski Center
You have many options to reach Erciyes Ski Center from Kayseri Airport. The distance between Kayseri Airport and Erciyes Ski Center is only 27 kilometers.
Note that the prices mentioned in this article are for 2020!
1. Kayseri Transportation
Kayseri Transport takes a bus from Kayseri Airport to Erciyes Ski Center on weekends and reaches Erciyes by passing through the city center. Since the route is a little winding, it can take 1 hour for this bus to reach the ski center. Another downside to this option is that it is only available on Saturday and Sunday. If you come for the week, you cannot benefit. Before you go, it is a good idea to call kayseriulasim.com or the ALO 153 call center to get precise information. Kayseri transportation timetable on weekends are as follows:
- From Kayseri Airport 07:50, 08:50, 09:50, 10:50, 11:50, 12:50,
- From Erciyes Ski Center at 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00.
Another important issue is that these bus services are made in the winter peak season, so if you are going to use this option, it is definitely useful to get information in advance.
2. Taxi
A taxi from Kayseri Airport to the city center costs 30-35 TL. It will not be less than 100 TL to Erciyes. For this reason, I do not recommend the taxi option.
3. Car Rental

4. Gökay Suva Transfer Service
We met with the suggestion of a friend of Gökay Suva (gokaytours.com). Company manager Mr. Abdurrahman has become everyone's best friend. Before arriving in Kayseri, we called on the weekdays and gave our flight time and arranged a transfer from the airport to Erciyes in the morning and from Erciyes to our hotel in the evening and paid 35 TL per person.
Gökay Suva company has many vehicles of various sizes, from small minibuses to large midibuses, depending on the number of people who come, they are constantly serving. I don't think there is any other company that provides this service, it's a very dominant company. They also help you if you want different services, from hotel accommodation to ski rental and ski pass purchase.
About Erciyes Ski Center
Erciyes Ski Center is among the oldest and best equipped ski resorts in Turkey. The ski center is located 25 km from Kayseri city center. The summit of Mount Erciyes is 3916 meters high, and the ski facilities are between 2150 meters and 3400 meters. There are many tracks in Erciyes Ski Center and the slopes of the tracks vary between 10% and 50%. In other words, there are track options suitable for all kinds of skiers and boarders, from the most novice to the most experienced.
Tekir Kapı runway is the point where shuttle vehicles drop off and pick up their passengers. So this is the most crowded runway. In addition, the ease of the Tekir track is an important factor in this.
When Does the Season Start and End at Erciyes Ski Center?
Of course, the season at Erciyes Ski Center depends on the snow density. However, under normal conditions, the best time to skate in Erciyes is between December and April. The ski season opens on 15 November and closes on 1 May.
Visitors who come to Erciyes not only for skiing but also for cycling, ultra-marathon and hiking can enjoy this beautiful mountain throughout the year.
Equipment Rental Fees in Erciyes Ski Center
You can rent all kinds of equipment when you come to Erciyes to ski. From ski to board, from gloves to helmet, from coat to trousers, whatever comes to mind. So don't be upset that I don't have the material.
We rented skis and boards for 120 TL from Zümrüt, located on Tekir Piste, on the recommendation, but on the way back, we realized that it was 70 TL in Zirve and most of the other shops. We returned to the center of Kayseri with the pain of having had a bad pile.
When you are not skiing, the municipality's facilities are quite cheap compared to a ski resort. Sausage bread 17 TL. Ayran, water, tea are like 2-3 TL. Compared to the food and beverage prices in Uludağ, I would say almost free.
2019-2020 Ticket (skipass) Prices in Erciyes Ski Center
In the table below, you can see the ticket prices of 2019-2020 skipass at Erciyes Ski Center. As you can see from the list, it is very unreasonable to get 7 outputs. That's why we got 14 exits. You can use the ticket you bought for unlimited people.

The last time I slipped, I think, 10 years ago, I swam a lot, 1 day was enough for us. But I made a contract with my husband to ski more next year. It is very enjoyable to be in the snow and to go skiing in the void. As in any sport, practice is essential.

In fact, there are many alternatives for skiing in our country. Davraz, Saklıkent, Uludağ…I didn't ski in Kayseri, but stayed in the city center for 3 days and gained 2 kilos and came back. The food is so good that people wonder what to eat.
Food is really dangerous 🙂 It is impossible to eat that much oil and not gain weight 🙂
