South America I bought a bag of South America travel books before my trip. The one closest to me, dear Seref Pinarci my brother (I had the opportunity to meet after reading the book) Latin America for Backpackers it was a book. If you ask why, Brother Şeref also explained the routes he traveled alone, like me, and wrote in a very natural language what could happen to a solo traveler. Of course, the fact that the cover of the book is red may have been effective in making it close to me.

I have benefited greatly from this book while finalizing my Chile-Bolivia-Peru route. Then I couldn't slow down and found Şeref Pınarcı on Facebook. I choked him with my questions, it wasn't enough, we got together and talked for a long time about our travels and our passion for traveling.

Of course, he didn't go to South America once like me 🙂 He went many times, he did not visit Central and South America, he did not leave a country. Easy on the tongue, he has traveled to 19 countries in Central America and more than 80 countries around the world. The part that stuck in my mind the most from the book was the Chile-Bolivia crossing, where I had a hard time determining my route. It would be a lie if I said that when I climbed over 4000 meters, I was not scared while reading the part where he had difficulty walking even 100 meters due to altitude sickness. Fortunately, I was very lucky, I think I had no difficulties thanks to my low blood pressure and plenty of coca tea.

Since the number of countries is high, each city is mentioned in a few pages in the book. The taste of all of them is enough to stay in your palate. We can also say that he is stealing a finger of honey in your mouth. You can think of it as both a guide book and a memoir, especially for those who prefer economical travel.

The price of the book varies between 15-20 TL. You can find it in most bookstores or buy it online. If you intend to go to Central or South America, I would say that you must read it.

"Does he who reads a lot or travels a lot?" I started by saying, I am still looking for an answer. I travel after my dreams and share my experiences on my blog, newspapers and magazines. I love to travel, read, write and dream.

    • Hello Horizon,

Until 1-2 years ago, I used to hold Many Readers, Many Travellers meetings, but now it is not time due to lack of time. It manages the time left from my blog work and travels 🙂
