How many countries in the world do not require visas and passports from Turkish citizens, have short flight distances, are comfortable to visit, and have affordable prices? Ukraine has all of these features. There are many cities worth seeing in this country, which we can enter with only a 2 hour flight distance, with an identity card. My wife and I put our Lviv flight tickets, which I bought for her as a birthday present, in our bags and made a 4-day trip to Lviv. Cost of 4 days trip to Lviv what happened, how are the prices in Lviv, how much does the food and drink cost, let's see together!

Lviv Trip Cost

Normally, I give the numbers including the flight ticket in my travel costs articles, but this time I do not write the price of the tickets as they are a gift 🙂 However, let me state that I bought the tickets 3 months in advance and I could not find a ticket within the scope of the campaign because the August 30 holiday could be combined. If you follow the campaign periods, you will find suitable flight tickets to Lviv. possible.

The cost per person for a 4-day trip to Lviv was 118 euros, all inclusive except the flight ticket. I should also mention that since we did not have a birthday celebration and a holiday with my wife all summer, we decided to pamper ourselves a little and did not limit the food and drink. It is possible to reduce this budget by acting a little more economically.

Come on now, let's see what we paid, how many euros/hryvnia, and how much we got.

Lviv Accommodation Cost

We stayed in a tiny apartment very close to the Opera in Lviv. The location is within walking distance of the center, and for places that need to be visited by tram, such as the Lviv cemetery, it is also very close to the tram stop. We paid a total of 3 euros for the apartment for 65 nights. In other words, we had an accommodation cost of 32,5 euros per person.

There are many accommodation options in Lviv. From luxury hotels to hostels to hostels. Renting a house/apartment is very common. Where we are staying: Apartment Shpytalna was. We arranged it on Booking.com. The only problem was that the renter did not know a word of English, but believe me, this did not prevent our agreement.

Lviv Museum-Ruins Entrance Costs

Entrances to museums and ruins in Lviv vary between 30-40 hryvnia. We paid a total of 4 euros per person to the Lviv Cemetery (they entered here without paying, we paid), the Folk Museum, the Clock Tower and the Ethnography Museum. When I converted it to Euro, everything seemed cheap 🙂

We also went to the opera, we bought our opera tickets online. By the way, an SMS verification code is sent when buying tickets online and you need to have a Ukraine GSM line for it. A friend of ours helped us with this. When you go to Lviv, you can buy the ticket from the box office, the game we went to was not fully booked. We paid 6,3 euros per person for the opera.

Lviv Food and Drink Costs

Let's come to the pen where we spent all our money 🙂

As I said at the beginning, we indulged ourselves in the food and beverage item. We indulged, but why a problem? In the small city of Lviv, you can eat and drink the best examples of world cuisine at good prices. We also ate sushi, Thai food, Argentinian food… I don't even go to the drinks 🙂

One of the concept places in Lviv used to be the Post Office.

If you want to drink beer somewhere on the street, in the square, the refill beer is around 1 euro, if you want to drink special beer, they are around 2 euros maximum.

There is a chain croissant shop called Croissant in Lviv, you can have your breakfast there with a coffee and a croissant sandwich for around 1-2 euros.

In Lviv, where we stayed for 3 nights and 4 days, we spent 4 euros per person for 3 dinners, 3 breakfasts, 68 lunches, afternoon beers and evening wines. Our highest expense was our dinner with unlimited meat at the Churrasco restaurant with 15 euros per person. We can say that our item with the highest cost of Lviv trip was food and beverage.

Lviv Transportation Costs

We did not spend a lot of money on transportation in Lviv, anyway, everywhere in the city is within walking distance. We only paid for the tram on the way back to Lviv Cemetery and Folk Architecture Museum, and for a taxi on the way to the airport.

City bus and tram fares are fixed one-way 5 hryvnia, ie 0,15 euro cents.

For airport transportation, the taxi we arranged with Uber showed prices between 70-80 hryvnia until the last minute, but at the last minute it surprised us with a warning such as "due to the density in the city, the taxi fare will be approximately 2,5 times more expensive". Since we relied on Uber for our late night flight and didn't bother looking for another taxi, we agreed to a taxi. In the end, we paid 187 hryvnia, not even 6 euros 🙂 It was less than 3 euros per person.

In summary, we have completed Lviv with our transportation cost of 3,45 euros per person. If there was no taxi surprise, it would be half of it 🙂

Apart from that, we had some small expenses, up to 4 euros.

While we were in Lviv, the euro was around 7,65, so we spent 902TL per person for the time we went. Could it have been much cheaper? Yes, it definitely would. Since we gave this holiday as a gift to ourselves, we did not go very cost-oriented.

Lviv is a very beautiful European city that must be seen and enjoyed for at least 3-4 days. Lviv is a wonderful place where you can spend quality time at an affordable price when the exchange rates are so high. It was my second visit but we left saying we will come again.
