Museum Gazhane is a cultural and artistic space that was opened by the restoration of Istanbul's last gas station, which met the oil and gas needs of the Anatolian Side of Istanbul for 130 years, and bringing it back to the public on July 9, 2021.
Hasanpaşa Gazhanesi, which served as the second gas station of the Anatolian side, was established in 1891 to meet the lighting and fuel needs of the city. When you enter the Museum Gazhane, there is the consultant building on the left. At this point, you can get information about the field from the employees. One of the things I like here is that there are safety deposit boxes in the information desk. In the Butterfly Garden in Konya, we had to walk around with snow coats in 30 degrees heat, it is absolutely necessary to have safety deposit boxes in such places. Climate Museum
When you take the Children's Science Center building behind you, the other large reinforced concrete building you see is the building where the Climate Museum is located. The museum said, “What is the climate, how has the climate changed throughout history, how is today's global climate change different from the climatic changes in history? How do we know to what extent the climate will change in the future? How is the climate changing, key indicators, impact and results What are the social and economic effects of climate change? In what ways are we changing the climate, how can we stop (mitigate)?” It consists of many galleries where you can find answers to your questions. If you take the Climate Museum to your right and the Children's Science Center to your left and continue towards the hot chocolate shop, you will see the Istanbul Bookstore on your left. As there are many areas that appeal to children in Museum Gazhane, there are also plenty of children's books in the bookstore.

Beltur Restaurant and Cafe
I mentioned that Beltur has restaurants and cafes inside. But I also wanted to show how beautiful they are. Beltur's restaurant on the right at the entrance in the photo above is quite large both inside and outside. In the photo below is the Beltur cafeteria, which has a very large open space, overlooking Gazhane Square. You can buy a book from Istanbul Kitapçısı, have your coffee and spend hours here, it is very enjoyable. Prices are the same as Beltur prices all over Istanbul, that is, accessible prices.
Gazhane Square

Afife Batur Library
Afife Batur, one of the outliers of the ITU Faculty of Architecture, is an intellectual who, after the closure of Hasanpaşa Gazhanesi, eroded the doors of many institutions such as the Chamber of Architects and Kadıköy Municipality, and fought for the protection and registration of this area. Afife Hanım's favorite building in the gashane was designed as a library in her honor and its name was given to this library.
IMM Afife Batur Library; It has a digital archive section of approximately 10 thousand books in categories such as general culture, art, science, history, research, analysis, urban studies, ecology, architecture, philosophy and sociology. In addition, there is a quiet study area on the lower and upper floors of the library that anyone can use 24 hours a day.
IMM City Theaters
Gasometer buildings of Museum Gazhane are used by two separate stages of IMM City Theatres. Plays are regularly performed on two stages called Büyük Sahne and Küçük Sahne. Cartoon and Humor Museum
On the upper floor of the Small Stage of the IMM City Theatres. There is a Museum of Cartoon and Humor. Gazhane Parking Lot
I'm sure you've wondered why I added the parking lot to this list. Actually, there are two reasons. Firstly, I wanted to point out that there is a very large indoor parking lot when you want to come to Gazhane, which is located in a crowded part of Istanbul, with your own vehicle. Secondly, this parking lot is not one of the car parks you know, but the parking lot is used as an event space and concerts are held here, so this is a part of Gazhane's living space.
