We had another advantage, which is that we sat on the seats where the premium economy class ended and the economy class started, so we had a 10-hour flight from Istanbul to Singapore and on the way back from Singapore to Istanbul without the slightest leg pain.
Food Service and Treats
As soon as we got on the plane, menus about what we would eat on that flight were distributed to all passengers. 10 main meals were served on the 2 hour flight. These two meals were served as main course (lunch or dinner) and breakfast meals. It is a nice detail that the menu has a Turkish option.
Of course, when a Far Eastern airline became an airline, options such as noodle and rice found more place in the menu. All meals were very tasty and satisfying. If you want extra, after serving all the passengers, if they have any leftover food, they offer it to you.
Apart from the main meals, there is a constant treat throughout the flight. The treats, which start with beverage and snack service right after the plane takes off, continue with different options from ice cream to sandwiches. You can also request individual snacks. All businesses that offer ice cream are in my heart, Singapore Airlines did, of course.
As with many airlines, when making your flight reservation, if the person you're flying with calls and informs, they offer you champagne and cake for occasions such as your birthday, wedding anniversary, honeymoon. I surprised my wife when I was mischievous and told her we had a honeymoon.
Friendly Flight Crew
I can't help but underline one point for Singapore Airlines, which is that the employees are incredibly friendly and helpful. In the part where we were on the plane, a passenger with a baby was traveling alone, the host and stewardesses took care of the baby as much as the baby's mother.
The whole team, who learned that we were honeymoon passengers - albeit jokingly - came and congratulated us one by one and gave us a female and a male one of these sweet teddy bears as a gift. We gave the female teddy bear as a gift to the baby I mentioned.
Wifi Service
There is paid wifi in economy class we are on, and free wifi in premium economy and business. If you have an urgent matter, you can use the internet by paying the fee on the economy side.
Inflight Entertainment System
One of the subjects Singapore Airlines is assertive about is the entertainment system. You can access many content such as TV series, movies, documentaries, flight information, information about Singapore.
Other Services
- Each seat has USB units to charge phones and computers.
- Headphones are distributed during boarding to listen to the entertainment system. The earpiece is designed to be removable so that you can use the headset later.
- If you wish, you can request an amenity kit. Includes flight socks, toothbrush and toothpaste.

If you are flying with Singapore Airlines and transferring at Singapore Changi Airport, a free gift voucher service is provided for 20SGD (approximately 90 TL) per person to use during your transit. You can use this gift voucher at many stores in the transfer area apart from drinks, cigarettes and meals, and you can get a 40-minute massage.
After getting off the plane, there is a small counter on the left side of the information office in Terminal 3 (close to Tax Free), in the transfer area, without going through passport control. We found the location by asking the information office. When you reach the counter, they ask you to fill out a short form on a website. They show your passport and boarding pass for your next flight and give you the gift certificates you see in the photo below.
If you are two people, you can combine your gift certificates or combine and use your round trip coupons. Gift certificates have a very long duration, so you can use them later.

Free Singapore City Tour
If you are flying with Singapore Airlines and your transit time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than 5 hours, you can take advantage of the free Singapore tour. In order to participate in these tours, 24 hours in advance Changi Airport website You need to make a reservation. There are two points you should pay attention to:
- Your flight must have landed at least 1,5 hours before the tour start time.
- In order to join the 19:30 tour, which is the last tour, your plane must have landed at the airport before 18:00.
