Dim Cave was formed by the erosion of the cracks between the limestone rocks by the rain waters. Although the cave formation stopped when the water level decreased in the cave, stalactite and stalagmite formations continue thanks to the dripping water.

To reach the cave entrance, you have to walk 100-150 meters after the car park. At the entrance you can find a cafeteria and gift shop.

When you look north from the cave entrance, there is a beautiful view where you will see the valley formed by the Dim Stream and the stream. When you look to the south, the view of the Mediterranean and Alanya welcomes you.

Although the exact date of formation of the cave has not been determined, it is estimated to be 1 million years old. The total length of the cave is 360 meters, and its width/height varies between 10-15 meters.

After you enter the cave, you will see a fork in the road. The left side continues for 310 meters and the right side continues for only 50 meters. I suggest you see both sides.

The 310-meter walking route includes many stairs and climbs, and the floors are quite slippery, it is better to choose shoes with non-slip soles. Along the walking line, stalactites and stalagmites will accompany you, and there is a tiny pond at the end of the cave. For your pond, you will see two stalagmites that resemble mother and child.

The cave was discovered in 1986 and opened as a tourist attraction in 1998.

The region where the creek seen from Dim Cave is located is a national park, but you do not pay any entrance fee. I couldn't understand what a national park is anyway.

Along the river, many restaurant businesses have set up facilities on the tea side by side. There are many places where you can come to cool off in the cold water of tea, have breakfast or eat on hot days in summer. I chose Pınarbaşı Restaurant upon recommendation. It has facilities such as jumping ramps and sun loungers for sunbathing. These restaurants are the best places to taste the trout raised in Dim Stream.

Among the businesses by the Dim Stream, I saw facilities where tent and caravan camps can be made. Having a cool stay by the creek can be nice in the summer.

It is possible to swim in Dim Stream with and without facilities. It should not be forgotten that the water is spring water coming from the mountains and it is cool even in summer. However, if you are going to the tea side, do not forget to put a swimsuit and towel in your bag.

Dim Cave and Dim Stream are great options for those looking for a cool alternative in Alanya!
