Beşiktaş's Beautiful Museum Cafes

Whether you come to Beşiktaş to visit or to meet with your friends for a drink, one of the museum cafes listed below will definitely appeal to you.

Dolmabahce Cafeteria

As long as I've known myself, this cafe at the entrance of Dolmabahçe Palace has been here. When I was at university, we used to come here and have tea. They used to bring brides here, too, I don't know if this tradition still continues. This cafe is on the sea-facing side of the parking lot in front of Dolmabahçe Palace. The location is very good, by the sea, overlooking the Bosphorus.

Dolmabahce Cafeteria

You can find non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks and simple foods such as toast.

You do not have to pay an extra fee to use the cafeteria, as it is outside the palace.

Dolmabahce Palace – Clock Tower Cafeteria

When you enter the security checkpoint at the entrance of Dolmabahçe Palace, if you continue towards the clock tower side, not towards the palace entrance, you will see a cafe on the seaside. Compared to the cafe outside, this place is a little quieter as it is less known and people think that it is paid for by paying the entrance fee.

Dolmabahce Cafeteria

The view here is just as good as outside. It has both indoor and outdoor areas, and it is perfect for getting the Bosphorus air outdoors on nice days.

Here, there are non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks, simple meals such as toast, meatballs, and desserts. Their prices are also cheaper than any cafe in Beşiktaş. Again, you do not have to pay an extra fee to use the cafeteria, as it is outside the palace.

Dolmabahce Palace – Inner Garden Cafeteria

If you are going to visit both the harem and selamlık sections after buying a ticket and entering the Dolmabahçe Palace, you will definitely need to rest in between. Not on the sea side, this time on the inner garden side, there is a cafe inside the Dolmabahçe Palace.

Here, you can find non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks, simple snacks such as sweets and cookies.

This cafe has no view, but inside a historic building it's a nice place to sip your coffee, digest what you've seen in the palace and gather energy to continue on to the next chapter.

Since this place is inside the palace, you can reach this cafe after paying the Dolmabahçe Palace entrance fee.

Yıldız Park – Malta Mansion

There are four different cafes/restaurants in Yıldız Park, which is one of the lungs of Beşiktaş and even of Istanbul. Although they are all beautiful, my favorite is the Malta Mansion.

Yıldız Park - Malta Mansion
Yıldız Park – Malta Mansion

The historical mansion is currently operated by Beltur as a restaurant. The mansion, which has a beautiful Bosphorus view, has almost everything from open buffet breakfast to ice cream bar. No alcohol as it is a municipal business.

You do not need to pay any fee for entry. It is suitable to go in summer/winter with both indoor and outdoor areas. Even if you live outside the mansion, I definitely recommend you to go inside and have a look at the beauty of the mansion.

Yıldız Park – Tent Mansion

Another mansion in Yıldız Park is the Tent Mansion. Organizations such as engagements and weddings are also held here. There is also a swimming pool in front of the Tent Mansion, the shore of the pool where swans and ducks swim is very enjoyable in the summer months. The mansion is closed when renovation work is carried out in the 2020-2021 period. I will update the post again when it opens.

This place is also operated by Beltur. Breakfast, food, ice cream everything is there, except alcohol. You do not need to pay a fee to enter here.

Yıldız Park – Country Coffee

When you come to Yıldız Park, there is another cafeteria outside the mansions where you can sit and have something to drink, a little more economical: Kır Kahvesi. This place is closed during the winter months. If the spread or open buffet breakfast is too much as in the mansions, there are options such as pancakes here.

Yıldız Park – Beltur Cafe

Haveran Cafe
Beltur Cafe

Yıldız Park has been landscaped for the last few years, it has become a beautiful world-class grove. They built a new cafe in the newly remodeled area, named Haveran, recently changed to Beltur. You can watch the squirrels wandering in the trees from where you sit, with its indoor and outdoor area and the huge green area in front of it. This place closes at 18:00, you have to be early to get service from here.

Yıldız Park is getting more beautiful every day. For your questions such as where Yıldız Park is, how to get there and much more: Yildiz Park Check out my post.
