Located in Seferihisar, this castle was built by the order of the Ottoman Emperor Suleiman the Magnificent. This castle, which was built by Parlak Mustafa Pasha in 1521 in preparation for the Rhodes Campaign, takes its architecture from ancient ruins. The historical castle, in which stones from the ancient city of Teos were used, started to serve as a naval base. Sığacık, which means “shelter”, has become a port where sailors can stay and rest. The castle has an outer building for the guards and an inner courtyard for the soldiers inside. Today, this building, which you can visit and see as a living museum, helps you to travel in history. Sığacık Castle is located very close to the port.

This point, which is among the historical ancient cities of the Aegean Region and has a very important value, is an active archeology center. The ancient city of Teos, whose history dates back to 1000 BC, is opened to visitors at certain times of the day. It is known that the Persians first came to Teos, then the Lydians and finally the Romans. It is possible to see the ruins of these civilizations during the visit. This city, which was first established by the Ionians, manages to attract attention with its rich history. One of the important places in the city is the Ancient Theater and the Temple of Dionysus. You can learn a lot about local history while having a good time with friends and family. If you want to get to know the regional culture and the region better, you can visit this museum. The facility, which provides service at certain times of the day, is open every day of the week, but the entrance is free.

Akkum Beach, which attracts a lot of attention and attracts many visitors in the Seferihisar district of Izmir, fascinates those who see it with its sea and nature. Its clear, blue and clean beach has the distinction of being a blue flag. The end of this beach, which is quite safe to swim in, bends into the sea. This reduces volatility considerably. In this way, you can enjoy the clear sea all day long. Located on the Sığacık side, this sea overlooks the lush forests. Grand Mosque

This structure, which is a late period Ottoman architecture, was built in the 1800s. It has a single minaret and the pulpit and mahfil part of the mosque are wooden. Over time, the worn parts of the mosque were repaired and it was influenced by the architectural movement of the baroque period. There is a large courtyard in the building where you can see the Baroque decorations. You can see this beautiful piece of art for visiting, if not for worship. It is now open for worship. Especially in the summer months, the architectural structure receives intense visits. Its cultural background, structure and minaret stand by defying time.

Ancestor Bread and Armola Festival

This festival, which is held in the Ulamış district of Seferihisar and is repeated annually, proceeds like a festival and aims to get you to know and even experience the culture better. You can discover the Aegean culture and the customs of the people at the festival, where you can find many things from folk dances to the promotion of local clothes. Ata bread is a type of bread belonging to Seferihisar and is a very popular product of the region. It is made using Karakılçık Wheat and cooked in a special black oven. This festival, which takes place in the Ulamış district, attracts great attention from all over Turkey, where you can find local flavors and have fun at the festival. The event, which started in the summer, is held at Ulamış Village Square. It is useful to prepare for a few days for the festival, which lasts for 1 day. This festival is completely free and open to the public. You can taste the flavors of Seferihisar and enjoy the visual feast. 

Seferihisar Nature School

Doga School, located 24 km from Sığacık, is an institution that provides service between olive groves and machinery on a land in Orhanlı Village. We can say that the investors, artists, researchers, thinkers and communities of this school whose volunteering project is essential. There are no classrooms in this school, where a collaborative education is in question. In other words, training is given with a master-apprentice relationship. Since its opening, the school has been employing qualified people in many fields such as traditional agriculture, architectural education, oral culture, literacy, arts and ecology. At the same time, the school, which also touches on subjects such as philosophy, natural law and natural philosophy, has many supporters and participants. Everything in this school is open to sharing and continues with a master-apprentice relationship. People who are educated in nature in lush trees strengthen themselves physically and spiritually. People who learn crafts and arts can start teaching this time after they become masters.

Seferihisar Tangerine Festival

Seferihisar's famous tangerine festival starts in September and November. This event, which took place in Sığacık, has been continuing its activities for a long time. The aim of the festival, whose first priority is to promote the local tangerine of the region, is to teach while having fun and to have a pleasant time thanks to the competitions. In the tangerine festival, it draws attention with the tangerine beauty contest, the best tangerine contest, the best producer contest, dessert contests and finally the best tangerine food contest. These competitions, which are indispensable for the festival, are held to promote and reveal the beauty of the local tangerine.

Taking its name from the ancient city of Teos, this port was put into service in 2010. This marina, which has a capacity of 510 yachts, has managed to survive until today without deteriorating the naturalness of its history. The port, which provides service with the quality of "5 Gold Anchors", makes the entrance fees in Turkish Lira. It draws attention with its many features from the bazaar to accommodation, from restaurants and cafes to activities. Teos Marina's contribution to the region is quite high and it has an important place in terms of tourism development. Keeping the understanding of environmental awareness at a high level, this port provides service at high quality standards, as we mentioned above. 

Seferihisar Bays

In general, most of these bays, which have different characteristics and beauty, where you can take boat tours and sea voyages, have the feature of being a blue flag. These bays, which represent the clean and clear waters of the Aegean Sea, offer you an experience where you can enjoy the sea to the fullest. You can go through tour companies or by providing your own sea transportation. The bays visited by the tours are Papaz Boğazı Bay, Turquoise Bay, Azmak Bay, Taş Ada Bay and Aktaş Bay, respectively. Some of these coves, which have clean seas and beaches, have a stony island and some have a lush forest. While exploring the bays of Seferihisar with clear waters, it takes you into another atmosphere.
